Terk HDTVs Description
The new TERK HDTVs is a compact outdoor HDTV antenna specifically designed to work in urban areas where clear line of sight to transmission towers may not be possible. It’s lightweight design, along with versatile mounting options, make it the perfect antenna for those who live in congested cities, apartment buildings and condominiums.
The HDTVs has the ability to pickup signals more than 50 miles away from the broadcast tower even if those signals are being bounced off other buildings nearby. The HDTVs provides reception of all local HDTV broadcasts, with an operating bandwidth covering both the UHF (channels 2 – 13) and VHF (channels 14 – 69) frequency ranges.
To achieve its groundbreaking performance, the HDTVs incorporates a number of technologies and designs that provide for its ability to deliver a strong HDTV signal while filtering out most background noise. It provides a high 20:1 front-to-back ratio, which enables it to efficiently capture signals received by its forward-facing, high-gain antenna element. Its design allows it to reject unwanted signals from the rear while at the same time enhancing the reception of reflected broadcast signals.
To further enhance the Terk HDTVs’ operating performance, the antenna has a 68-degree beam width, along with a VSWR of 1 to 1.3 that minimizes the power reflected from the antenna and yields maximum signal transfer efficiency for superior HDTV reception and clarity.
